Nestled above the trees of the Upper Plain Road is a hidden sanctuary. This modern day Wairarapa palace is an expansive property overlooking the mountains which features a large swimming pool with two diving boards, a tennis court, surrounding gardens, and various tranquil pathways and fields to explore and relax.
The coach house
Onsite at The 540 Lodge is a special overnight accommodation space: The Coach House—a cozy and romantic self-contained apartment.
Much like a cabin getaway, The Coach House provides all you need for the perfect trip including a full ensuite, fully-functional kitchen, dining and living room with an open fireplace, and private access to the main pool.
The interior
Alongside The Coach House is the main house and interior event space which includes: a billiards room, large ball room (capacity 60 – 70, seats twelve for formal dining), baby grand piano, and catering-size kitchen.
Guest are free to use all facilities on the property and are encouraged to explore the gardens. Two additional rooms for guests are also available in the lodge.
